This helped my wife and I get through Paris and enhanced our trip tenfolds. Our pronunciation was probably way off but our attempts at speaking french were greatly appreciated by the locals. I accepted that we would never blend in as Parisians but this book prevented us from being "big fat stupid American tourist."

This really came in handy for someone who knew ZERO French. Most people will speak English after you make even a small attempt at trying to speak to them in their language and this sure helps. We flew from the US so I used the time to study a little bit and this book made it pretty darn easy for me to polish up on a few phrases on the way over. ****Note to self-learn a foreign language.

Super helpful reference book for a week trip to France. Small, so it fits in the pocket. Knowing zero French, it contained most of what I needed for a simple vacation. Pronunciation, common phrases you'd use/hear, good section regarding food/menus, small but useful French-to-English and English-to-French sections. I've used the Lonely Planet pocket phrasebooks for multiple languages, finding their size and usefulness to be effective.

This is even better than I expected. It's tiny, it has really almost everything you can think of you'd need to say to non-English speaking strangers, and it has a super-useful dictionary for anything else. The food guide is awesome! For those who complained about the pronunciation guide: the English is meant to be British English, in which case it's spot-on. I'm a French speaker & picked this up for my non-Francophone boyfriend for our upcoming trip to Paris so I don't have to worry in case we get separated. :)

My husband is fluent in French and I am able to understand and speak some. It was clear to both of us that pronunciation of many words was just plain wrong. I threw the book out!

I recently spent two months studying in France. My significant other accompanied me, but hardly new a sentence beyond, "Bonjour," "Je ne sais pas," or "je parle un petit peu de francais." We were staying in Angers, a small town that has almost zero English spoken, so I purchased this book for him in hopes he'd be able to get by easily enough when I wasn't around to translate.The book is amazing, he loved it. Small enough to fit in his pocket, had a phonetic pronunciation guide, color coded and had everything he needed. Worked terrifically when at the market, ordering food, and even at the pharmacy. He was able to communicate with ease and without embarrassment.Highly recommend for anyone traveling to France.

A great French phrasebook and dictionary. Whether you're just starting to learn French, brushing up, or you're going to Paris and you want one book to carry around this is it.It is helpfully organized into different parts (practical/ getting around, social, safe travel, food, the basics, etc) so you can hone your learning to one section before moving on. The book itself is small enough to carry while strolling down the Champs-Élysées or walking up the stairs of the Eiffel Tower. It is constructed well enough so it's not going to fall apart after a week or two of being tossed in/ out of bags. The dictionary is good but obviously doesn't have every word in it.

In the age of IPhone/Droid translator apps, you might think there's little need for a hard copy language guide. In preparing for a September trip to France, I wanted to gain a basic knowledge of common phrases to avoid the awkwardness of pulling out a Droid for something as simple as ordering a cup of coffee and a croissant. The Lonely Planet guide fits the bill perfectly, particulary with the clear pronunciation breakdown for each phrase. Small enough to carry around in the months before your trip for study breaks. Well worth it.

As I kept on reading sections of the recipes I just realized that it meant no grains and no sugar.Was I ecstatic!!! Here is what I need. Recipes that was easy to follow. Dishes that planned ahead for you and quick enough to follow. Best of all, it supposedly have no sugar. Low carbohydrates as well. This book surely helped me a lot and looking forward to trying out all recipes. Its a must for everyone out there that wants to control their sugar intake as I have.

I can eat cheese, potato, butter, meat and all the other food that will increase my weight. I was like how this diet can helped me to lose my weight. I had lost 4 pounds within a week. The recipes were awesome. I came to know that if we consumed food which contain all the minerals that are required for our body.There were 84 recipes so I never felt bored following this diet. It was easy to make and it tasted very good. Actually I was eating more than I used to while following this diet.

Ketogenic diet is no sugar and no grain diet. This diet helps to lose weight and to stay healthy. This book contains some very good recipes of Ketogenic Diet which are very useful for our health and also very delicious and yummy. The recipes of breakfast, seafood, beef, chicken and condiment are healthy and easy to make. With this diet you will surly lose weight.

I have read several books about Ketogenic Diet, but I still feel that this is one of the most complete among the lists. This is such a delicious and nutritious read. Breakfast recipes are what I am after for because I know that breakfast should not be missed among all the meals of the day. I also find the following recipes very helpful in following the diet: Tuna Salad, Curried Peanut Shrimp, Smoked Salmon Maki to mention some. Red meat recipes that are included in this kind of diet plan are also among those that will surely be prepared in my kitchen. Ketogenic diet must be considered to add in your diet plan if you want to have a healthy body.

The recipes look ok, but absolutely no nutrition info was listed after the recipe. This info is needed when trying to keep your keto diet carbs at 20-30 grams. And it's way too much trouble trying to figure out each recipe. How did this book get so many great reviews ??? Would return but it'll cost me the cost of the book to do so.

This book has some good recipes but there are a lot of recipes that are way too high in carbs to be considered Keto. Be sure you understand the keto diet before making and eating a lot of these recipes. I am very disappointed in this book.

The recipes are nice, and easy to make, but I have to dock the book heavily since no nutritional information was provided for any recipes.If you are doing lazy keto that is fine, but there comes a point where you have to track your macros to continue making progress.I got the kindle version, so if an update were to be made available that had the nutrition info, I would add stars to my review

Oh my goodness, these Dot to Dot are so fun(And hard)! A lot harder than I thought they would be. I love it, it’s challenging and fun!

My mom loves it . I bought her one from work but the printing was so small that you need a magnifying glass to use it .

I love drawing the lines to find out what the picture is. It is so much fun

When listening to a dictator speak who sounds like he may also be chewing marbles, sometimes it is extremely hard to understand what drug he rattled off. This book has sections under most words that include the "sounds like" and "often confused with" other words, and their definitions. Wonderful! The book is also big enough that my aging eyes can easily read the pages, and the format of each page makes it easy to see the word you are looking for. I use it daily and am thankful to the instructor who recommended it.

I bought this for my busy and well-educated nurse to use at the nurse's station and desk. It is used all the time.My only critique is that specific half-lives are not mentioned.Otherwise, it is a great reference for quick info. It is reasonable in price, and encourages generic first/ trade name later views.

Thank goodness for that - although it is enjoyable and a nice book, the quality of the paper, and number of colored photographs do not merit a publishers' price of $50! I studied exclusively from this book for the ADEX Diagnostic Skills exam. Though the book is out of print and the information is a little dated, there are few, if any, questions from the Diagnostic Skills exam that aren't covered many times and in many ways through the book. Dental Decks help, but their knowledge base is much to broad. This is considerably more focused and will structure your studying for the written exam!

I bought this to help me study for NERB. It's a bit out dated, but helps as a source of practice questions when studying for the NERB written.

Great resource for part II dental boards. Many of the questions were seen on the exam almost identical to questions reviewed in the book.

As far as I know, this is the number one book that is being used by just about every dental scholar in preparation for the CRDTS Dental Boards. I have seen many questions taken word for word from that text into the computerized CRDTS test. It would also work for the WREB.s to a slightly less degree. Thumbs up!
