I have to admit, after reading Dirty Billionaire, I couldn’t wait to jump into Dirty Pleasures. I thought this one would be another five star for me since I enjoyed the first book so much. However…Dirty Pleasures was such a disappointment. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a good book, but so many times the lead heroine, Holly, just really frustrated me. Her background made things complicated when it didn’t need to be, and I just wanted her to stop living in the past. Creighton was still my favorite and I really admired his drive to keep going after what he wanted.Overall Dirty Pleasures was good, and I’m looking forward to seeing what will happen next in the third book.
I think the five stars rating is not nearly enough to express how good this story is. I fell in love with the characters immediately when I read the first book and now, after finishing this book, I can't stop myself from shaking from head to toe.The love story between Holly and Creighton is so absolutely passionate and consuming, that you feel every single obey of their feelings deeply inside. It's as if you are right there living through all the things they go through.I love that about the story because it just makes me wants to start book numbers three right about now (which I will by the way).I absolutely love the book and I so recommend this. It's one of the best from Meghan March in my humble opinion.
Dirty Pleasures by Meghan MarchHolly has married Creighton and they live happily ever after! Joking! She lands up leaving him because he has not kept his word. She goes back on the road with her tour. Creighton knows he has made a huge mistake and he now has to find his wife. Creighton for the first time in his life feels jealousy. He shows his possessiveness but is it just possessiveness or is he starting to feel more for his wife. Holly is still independent but she is starting to feel things for Creighton. Can this marriage survive? While I am enjoying this journey, I am a bit frustrated as I was hoping for more depth and progress with their relationship. While the intimacy is hot it just becomes too much at times. The ending felt a bit like an overused cliffhanger . However I still want to find out what will happen to this couple and I have to give the author credit for pulling me in till the end. Part two of Holly and Creighton's story was very emotional. Lots of ups and downs but I guess that's what it should be for two people who married on a whim and don't really know each other. But they do love each other. Once they both get past their stubbornness they'll realize that. Awesome part two!!!
Lots and lots of hot chemistry between the two main characters. Enough to keep to reading, even though I'm not a fan of serial novels.Another solid entry in this serial set of ebooks. The characters are becoming a bit more fleshed out, with more hang-ups and explanations for those hang-ups, and they're becoming much more likeable, the further we go with them.Except for one big flaw. Spoilers to follow...She walked out again? Without a word? AGAIN?? Seriously? Not a good move, and really, makes me lose any desire to see these guys get an HEA. Well, her, anyway. Him, I still don't mind. That immature, stupid move of her walking out without a word, and leaving him because of one misunderstanding? Not smart and wouldn't blame the guy for giving up on her.
